Scripture Mass Choir takes one subject — the first commandment — and refuses to be delicate: “Kill the Golden Calf”, “Baal Never Answered”, “Dagon Fell Face First”, “If It Needs a Battery”. Every track names an idol and dismisses it. “Run To The Strong Tower” is the other half of the same argument: what you run to once you have stopped running to the wrong thing. Arrangements that leave no room to treat the line as a metaphor.
